##### International Estate Planning Senior Associate/Counsel/Junior Partner
Cummings & Lockwood, a law firm, is seeking a qualified International Estate Planning Attorney with at least 5 years of experience. This position is available in any of the firm's offices located in Stamford, Greenwich or West Hartford, CT, or Naples, Bonita Springs or Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
**Qualifications:**
- J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and active membership in good standing in the Connecticut and/or New York or Florida bars - At least 5 years of experience in international estate planning
**Responsibilities:**
- Advise U.S. clients with foreign assets on the proper structures to minimize U.S. taxes and coordinate with foreign counsel - Structure estate plan documents to benefit foreign beneficiaries - Advise clients who are married to a non-U.S. citizen spouse on tax and estate planning structures to minimize U.S. estate and gift taxes - Advise on renouncing U.S. citizenship or abandoning long-term permanent residency - Structure ownership of foreign businesses to minimize U.S. tax - Draft U.S. estate plan documents for U.S. clients with foreign assets or foreign beneficiaries and coordinate with foreign counsel - Administer estates of U.S. individuals who own foreign assets - Advise foreign clients on structuring investments in the U.S., including the acquisition of real estate - Advise on tax efficient structures to transfer assets to U.S. beneficiaries - Advise on pre-immigration planning - Draft U.S. estate plan documents for foreign clients with assets or beneficiaries in the U.S. and coordinate with foreign counsel - Administer estates of foreign individuals who own U.S. assets - Advise clients on U.S. reporting requirements for foreign investments and transfers from foreign entities or people
